Ergonomics and Labour Protection WB-IS-11-14
The aim of the course is to introduce students with the demands and needs of people in their working environment. During the classes, students are familiarized with the relationship between man and
the workplace and the working environment, including ergonomic, physiological and hygienic aspects; as well as occupational risks, the role of ergonomics in the working environment.
The next steps of course students will address issues of ergonomic design. During the lessons, students will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the standards of the design of their workplace.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
IS1P_W08 - the student knows basic general knowledge in the field of ergonomic design as well as processes covering the key issues of ergonomics, physiology and hygiene at work, necessary for professional activities related to environmental engineering.
Assessment criteria
Assessment methods and criteria:
Lecture: final test (single-choice questions, open-ended questions) based on the content provided during the lecture.
The student who attended the lectures can take the exam.
Three absences are allowed, one of which must be excused.

79-70% - 3.5
69-60% - 3
less than 59.9% - 2
For the grade:
5 - The student has a very good understanding of the basic issues of ergonomics and occupational health and safety, lists and defines advanced tasks and scope of activities in the field of ergonomics and occupational health and safety at a very good level, understands its relationship with other engineering disciplines very well; the student efficiently explains the terminology used during the classes, describes very well the principles of occupational hygiene in the field, in the laboratory and in the office and the elements of ergonomic design, knows how to design his workplace.
4 - The student has a good knowledge of the basic issues of ergonomics and occupational health and safety, lists and defines advanced tasks and scope of activities in the field of ergonomics and occupational health and safety at a good level, has a good understanding of its relationship with other engineering disciplines; the student efficiently explains the terminology used during classes, describes well the principles of occupational hygiene in the field, in the laboratory and in the office, as well as the elements of ergonomic design, knows how to design his workplace.
3 - The student has a sufficient level of knowledge of the basic issues of ergonomics and OHS, sufficiently lists and defines advanced tasks and scope of activities in the field of ergonomics and OHS, sufficiently understands its relationship with other engineering disciplines; the student efficiently explains the terminology used during the classes, sufficiently characterizes the rules of occupational hygiene in the field, in the laboratory and in the office and the elements of ergonomic design, knows how to design his workplace.
2 - The student is not familiar with the basic issues of ergonomics and occupational health and safety, cannot list or define the tasks and scope of activities in ergonomics and occupational health and safety, does not understand its relationship with other engineering disciplines; the student is not able to efficiently explain the terminology used during classes, is not able to characterize the rules of occupational hygiene in the field, laboratory and in the office and the elements of ergonomic design, does not know how to design his workplace.
