The Phenomenology of Ethical Actions SzD-FI-FDE
The subject matter of the lecture is related to the presentation of the main thinkers, trends and schools within the phenomenological movement, which considered issues related to moral action. Phenomenology is often seen primarily as a theoretical project aimed at substantiating knowledge. Less is said about phenomenology in the context of practical philosophy. To some extent, this is due to methodological problems that seem to limit the phenomenologist's field of inquiry to certain knowledge. In turn, ethics and morality are rather the domain of uncertain, situational knowledge. In the lecture, he criticizes a similar reading of phenomenology, showing how phenomenology enables the study of moral actions. The lecture adopts both a systematic and problematic perspective as well as a historical one. In the first area, questions are asked about the methodological basis of the use of phenomenology in relation to ethical and moral activities. And in the latter - about the contribution of individual thinkers to deliberations on moral action. During the lecture, it is planned to discuss the concepts of thinkers such as Brentano, Husserl, Heidegger, Levinas, Ingarden and Kriegel. The lecture will take the form of a critical analysis of selected theoretical propositions.

6 presences - 4.0
5 presences - 3.0
4 and less attendance - 2.0
Ad 2. As part of the course, the student should pass a written test in the form of a "true / false" test. The basis for passing is the material presented during the classes. Grading scale:
91-100% - 5.0
81-90% - 4.5
71-80% - 4.0
61-70% - 3.5
51-60% - 3.0
0-50% - 2.0
The final grade is the weighted average of the above partial grades, where the grade from the written test is 3/4 of the weight of the final grade, and the grade for the presence of 1/4 of the weight of the final grade.
