Moral theology versus spiritual theology WT-SST-TMTD
The first stage for the subject of study outlined in this way will be a look at the contemporary stage of the history of the Catholic Church, which is related to the pontificate of Pope Francis, and especially with today's events of this pontificate. The Synod on the Synodality of the Church, which has just begun, must therefore be regarded as the central event. The present pope has great hopes for this synod related to today's reform of the Church, which he has been striving for since the beginning of his pontificate. The more than two-year and three-stage form of the present Synod is a clear achievement in the contemporary search for a method for the revival of the Church of our time. In this study, we will begin with a detailed analysis of two previously published documents preparing for this event. These are: PREPARATORY DOCUMENT FOR THE 16TH ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE SYNOD OF BISHOPS Towards the Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission, and the Synod Vademecum on Synodality.

first stage [October 2021 - April 2022] in dioceses and episcopal conferences leading to the Assembly of the Synod of Bishops in October 2023.
Both of these documents constitute the basic basis and theological background in preparation for synodal debates. In this way, we can begin to discover what the answer of Pope Francis may mean, to the question: what kind of spirituality he is today. He stated that he would prefer to call this spirituality: the spirituality of the Second Vatican Council. Recognizing the present Pope's determination to implement Vatican II, it seems absolutely necessary to explore this element. This part of the course is also intended to provide doctoral students with the ability to carry out an in-depth text analysis. CO for those who prepare their doctoral dissertations is of great importance and may prove to be very helpful.
The next part of the lecture will be of a textbook nature and will be an attempt to carry out a comparative analysis of the foundations of two theological specialties: moral theology and theology of spirituality in the face of the tasks posed by Pope Francis of today.

Learning outcomes
The doctoral student acquires the knowledge of the newest aspects of the present pontificate, especially in terms of the relationship between morality and spirituality.
The analysis of the documents of the pontificate allows you to enter into a discussion with the commentators of the papal words and actions.
In terms of knowledge:
The student has knowledge of the basic terminology of moral theology and theology of spirituality. The student knows and distinguishes between two theological disciplines.
In terms of skills:
The student is able to carry out a critical analysis and interpretation of various theological and world views in the field of moral life. On the example of the present Synod, the student recognizes the close relationship between spirituality and morality.
In terms of social competences:
The student is able to recognize the complexity of the studied problem and solve it in the light of moral theology and theology of spirituality, especially in connection with the experienced crisis in the contemporary Church.
