Assessment criteria
In terms of EK1, the student will be assessed:
2 - incorrectly presents the historical outline and program assumptions of children's catechesis;
3 - selectively presents the program assumptions of children's catechesis;
4 - generally presents the historical outline and program assumptions of children's catechesis;
5 - discusses in detail the historical outline and program assumptions of children's catechesis.
In terms of EK2, the student will be assessed:
2 - incorrectly characterizes the religious development of children;
3 - generally characterizes the religious development of a child in preschool or early school age;
4 - generally characterizes the religious development of children in preschool and early school age;
5 - discusses in detail the religious development of preschool and early school children.
In terms of EK3, the student will be assessed:
2 - incorrectly recognizes the difficulties of religious communication resulting from the specificity of a child in preschool and early school age;
3 - indicates general religious difficulties resulting from the specificity of a child in preschool or early school age;
4 - indicates selected religious difficulties, difficulties in religious communication resulting from the specificity of a child in preschool and early school age;
5 - presents in detail the difficulties of religious communication resulting from the specificity of a child in preschool and early school age and the possibility of remedying them.
In terms of EK4, the student will be assessed:
2 - incorrectly assesses the usefulness of available aids and religious education resources for children;
3 - assesses the usefulness of the teaching aids or methods proposed in the catechetical materials;
4 - evaluates the usefulness of available aids and catechetical methods for children;
5 - assesses the usefulness of the available aids and catechetical resources for children and gives their own examples.
In terms of EK5, the student will be assessed:
2 - incorrectly (or not at all) plans initiatives integrating educational environments - family, parish and kindergarten or school;
3 - proposes initiatives at school or parish involving a second educational environment;
4 - proposes initiatives integrating all educational environments;
5 - plans initiatives integrating all educational environments and envisages their own role in various positions.
Class attendance is obligatory. In addition, during the semester, the student is required to prepare an original aid or didactic method to be used in preschool or early school catechesis, and to prepare an analysis of a selected unit from a textbook for religion.
