The esence and origin of homily.The short history of homily.To point out the priviliged place of a homily among other kinds of preaching the word of God.The homily material: witnessing, Holy Scripture, liturgy, Church teaching, culture.Basic content of a homily: existence, kerygma, didascalia, liturgy and paracliza.Functions of homily: kerygmatic, anamnetic, litiurgical and mistagogical. The process of creating a homily.
