course contents:
Propaedeutics of the Catholic social science: notions, autonomy, relations with other sciences, theological character, sources, methods of teaching social sciences by the Church. Biblical context of social teaching in the Church. Christian views upon man in society. Basic principles of social life: justice and social charity, common good, helpfulness and solidarity. Stages of development of social ideas in the Church.
assessment methods:
Evaluation based on students’ contribution to group work and their papers. Evaluation of students’ knowledge of the set texts.
