Religions of the Far East WT-RE-SRDW
Seminar is dedicated to the religions of the Far East. It is addressed especially for students interested in the religious problems of the Far East.
1. General methodology of scientific work.
2. Specificity of research on Religions.
3. Study cases of chosen examples.
4. Analysis of written sources (depending on student's interest on Confucianism, Taoism, Shinto).
5. Practical questions linked to the preparation of dissertation.
6. Analysis of the texts prepared by other students following seminar.

The student learns the skills of analysis and critical study of texts, especially connected with religions of the Far East.
The student learns correct way of thinking and making the synthesis on the basis of analyzed material.
The student shapes the ability of critical judgment of scientific as well as popular opinions and ideas.
The student formulates his/her own proposals in correct, scientific language.
The student reflects on coming fragments of his/her work.
The student learns the attitude of the cognitive honesty and the principles of writing a text on the license level.

Assessment criteria
As the requirement for the course, a student should:
1. be present in the classes.
2. actively participate in the activities during the classes - discussions.
3. show the progress in the preparation of his/her dissertation.
