After the finish of the course:
EK 1 – Student characterizes the basic cults in the Roman Empire.
EK 2 – He indicates the main features of these religions. He notes the differences between them. He recognizes historical, social, cultural, political, anthropological factors that shape the formation of the ancient cults.
EK 3 – He examines some of the views of Christian writers on the pagan cults of antiquity.
EK 4 – He keeps a criticism toward the ancient polytheism and contradictions in pagan religions.
Assessment criteria
EE nr 1 referred to as ""Student characterizes the basic cults in the Roman Empire"
For the grade:
Non sufficient (2): he can not characterize the basic cults in the Roman Empire
Sufficient (3): he is able to characterize few basic cults in the Roman Empire
Good (4): he is able to characterize most of the major cults in the Roman Empire
Very good (5): he accurately characterizes all the basic cults in the Roman Empire conditions
EE nr 2 referred to as “Student indicates the main features of these religions. He notes the differences between them. He recognizes factors historical, social, cultural, political, anthropological shaping the formation of the ancient cults”
Non sufficient (2): he can not identify the main features of these religions, the differences between them and the factors influencing the formation of the ancient cults
Sufficient (3): he captures some of the main features of these religions, the differences between them and the factors affecting the formation of the ancient cults
Good (4): he is able to capture most of the major features of these religions, the differences between them and the factors influencing the formation of the ancient cults
Very good (5): he is able to capture all the main features of these religions, the differences between them and the factors influencing the formation of the ancient cults
EE nr 3 referred to as "It examines some of the views of Christian writers on the pagan cults of antiquity"
The assessment:
Non sufficient (2): he is not able to analyze the main views of Christian writers on the pagan cults of antiquity
Sufficient (3): he is able to analyze only a few views of Christian writers on the pagan cults of antiquity
Good (4): he is able to analyze the views of most of the major Christian writers on the pagan cults of antiquity
Very good (5): he is able to analyze all the main ideas of Christian writers on the pagan cults of antiquity
EK nr 4 referred to as: “he retains criticism toward the ancient polytheism and contradictions in pagan religions”
The assessment:
Non sufficient (2): he can not keep criticism toward the the ancient polytheism and contradictions in the pagan religions
Sufficient (3): he maintains a discriminative criticism toward the the ancient polytheism and contradictions in the pagan religions
Good (4): he can generally be critical to the ancient polytheism and contradictions in the pagan religions
Very good (5): he is able to keep criticism toward the the ancient polytheism and contradictions in the pagan religions of both general and specific elements.
The verification of learning results: final test.
The condition to complete the subject is the obtaining of all established points.
The number of the obtained points determines the positive grade of the subject:
– Test: sufficient – sufficient plus – 50-60%, good – good plus – 60-85%, very good – 85-100%;
- Presence: sufficient – 60%; good – 60-95%, very good – 95-100%.
