Learning outcomes
knowledge: the student understands the character of adult catechesis and its specificity. Lists current research problems in the field of catechesis theory and catechetical practice. Discusses the Church's catechetical documents and understands their content. It indicates significant problems and catechetical challenges in the social, cultural and ecclesial perspective.
Skills: the student analyzes the basic assumptions of adult catechesis. He assesses its importance for the development of an adult, mainly religious (faith) development. Uses catechetical literature properly.
Competences: the student appreciates the catechesis of adults in the educational work of the Church. He perceives the relationship between the lack of it and the educational failure of children and youth, as well as the weak commitment to the life of the Church. She works in a team sharing her own experiences gained during catechetical studies.
Lecture: 30 hours Reading selected literature: 30 hours Commissioned work on a given topic: 30 hours = 3 ECTS
Assessment criteria
Very good grade: full knowledge of the issues related to adult catechesis, i.e. the motives for adult catechesis, motivating adults to participate in adult catechesis, stages of adult development, adult Christian development, models of adult catechesis.
good grade: basic assumptions of adult catechesis, motives for adult catechesis, adult human and Christian development.
satisfactory: knowledge of the general assumptions of adult catechesis as well as human and Christian development of adults.
insufficient: ignorance of the issues related to adult catechesis.
- independent development of one of the given topics.
