The lecture series will include the following topics:
1. Religious situation of the addressees of the First Letter of Peter.
2. The social situation of the addressees of the First Letter of Peter.
3. Church model in 1 P.
4. Religious instructions addressed to the addressees of 1 P.
Four hours will be devoted to each topic.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student:
- in the field of knowledge:
LO (learning outcomes) 1 - has ordered and in-depth knowledge of the New Testament biblical theology and how to apply its methodological assumptions for the interpretation of texts from the NT (PTE-W02; PTE-W07).
- in terms of skills:
LO 2 - knows how to use the terminology of the New Testament biblical theology and understands its connection in a methodologically coherent system and is able to practically use it to interpret various fragments of NT (PTE-U01; PTE-U03).
- in the field of social competences:
LO 3 - is able to introduce known content into action; cooperating in a group and being aware of their identity, can come to constructive conclusions (PTE-K03; PTE-K07).
Description of ECTS:
Participation in classes: 16 hours (together the first plus the second semester).
Student's own work and consultation with the teacher: 45 hours.
Total: 61 hours = 2 ECTS.
Assessment criteria
Didactic methods: lecture with multimedia presentation, discussion.
The method of verification of learning outcomes is two-fold: 1) a written essay on a given topic, in which the student is to demonstrate an independent skillful application of methodological criteria of the New Testament biblical theology to the text of his choice; 2) oral final exam.
LO No. 1 referred to as "has ordered and in-depth knowledge of the New Testament biblical theology and how to apply its methodological assumptions to interpret texts from the NT."
Grades:
Insufficient (2): does not know the basic concepts of the New Testament biblical theology or the methodological principles associated with it.
Sufficient (3): knows sufficiently the basic concepts of NT biblical theology and sees their interrelationships.
Good (4): knows well not only the basic, but also more advanced assumptions of the NT biblical theology and knows the theoretical principles of using the known interpretation principles to analyze various fragments of the NT.
Very good (5); knows very well all basic and advanced concepts of NT biblical theology and knows very well the theoretical principles of their application for the analysis of various passages from the NT.
LO No. 2 referred to as "knows how to use the terminology of biblical theology of the New Testament and understands its connection in a methodologically coherent system and can practically apply it to interpret various fragments of the NT.”
Grades:
Insufficient (2): cannot use the basic concepts of NT biblical theology or apply them to the exegesis of the indicated NT texts.
Sufficient (3): knows how to use the concepts of NT biblical theology in a basic way and apply them to the analysis of NT passages.
Good (4): can use well the conceptual background of the NT biblical theology in the independent interpretation of the NT pericope.
Very good (5): can fluently and creatively apply the methodological criteria of NT biblical theology for independent interpretation of fragments of the NT.
LO No. 3 referred to as "is able to introduce the learned content into action; cooperating in a group and being aware of their identity, can come to constructive conclusions (PTE-K03; PTE-K07).”
Grades:
Insufficient (2): is not able to put the learned content into action or cooperate constructively in a group, is not able to reach intersubjectively verifiable conclusions.
Sufficient (3): it is difficult to cooperate in a group, introducing the learned content into action, it can reach very superficial research conclusions.
Good (4): is able to cooperate well in a group, put into practice the contents learned and formulate research conclusions.
Very good (5): is able to cooperate very well in a group, conduct creative research, implementing content learned at the class and formulate research hypotheses on their own.
