(in Polish) Metodologia biblijna WT-FWD-MBI
The course is thought to be lecture exposing various methods applied in the contemporary Old and New Testament exegesis and theology (approximately 45 minutes) and following application of the theory into practice by demonstrating samples presented by attendants of the class. Outline of the course:
1. Introductory issues. Methodology as a guide to reading. Synchronic vs. diachronic approach.
2. Texts as part of a process of communication.
3. Structuralism.
4. Linguistic - syntactic analysis.
5. Semantic analysis.
6. Pragmatic analysis and pragmalinguistic.
7. Rhetoricity of the text and rhetorical analysis.
8. Narrative analysis.
9. Diachronic reading - historical-critical method.
10. Social-scientific approach.
11. Canonical exegesis.

Learning outcomes (LO)
LO 1: The student acquires a comprehensive knowledge concerning the methods of the interpretation of the Old and New Testament.
LO 2: Having the knowledge the student fosters his abilities and skills for a self-dependent interpretation of biblical passages.
LO 3: The student has a habit of deepening his knowledge and skills in the field of biblical studies.
Assessment criteria
Each meeting students prepare and present samples in which they demonstrate the abilities they acquired in the biblical methodology. Each time they are to pass on to the professor a short (one page) written paper with the prepared sample. The final grade will depend on the demonstrated level of acquired knowledge and skills.
