Introduction to spiritual theology WT-FW-TD2
The lecture is intended to provide knowledge about methodologically ordered, scientific reflection on the spiritual life of man. Thanks to it, the student is to become familiar with the name, subject, sources and method. For this purpose, it is to use knowledge not only in theology but also in history, sociology, psychology and pedagogy. During the course, students learn the theological foundations of spiritual theology and the contemporary teachings of the Church on this subject. A separate part of the lecture is the presentation of knowledge about: spiritual (mystical) experience; schools of spirituality; theology of saints; locus theologicus. The latest research on human spirituality will also be taken into account, with particular emphasis on changes occurring due to human and spiritual development.

Learning outcomes
W1 - has knowledge about the connection between theology and the humanities and social sciences to the extent useful for the spiritual and human formation of a person;
W2 - has in-depth knowledge of the contemporary teaching of the Catholic Church on spiritual theology;
W3 - knows the processes and conditions of human religious and spiritual development and its threats;
U1 - can use information and integrate it into objective knowledge about spiritual theology;
U2 - is able to create a spiritual and human formation and establish cooperation with various entities for its benefit;
KS1 - is aware of responsibility for another person and is able to organize spiritual and human formation for him;
KS2 - is aware of the complexity of reality and understands the need for an interdisciplinary approach to solving problems related to formation while maintaining theological priorities.
Assessment criteria
Effect W1:
- for a very good grade, the student has in-depth knowledge of the connection between theology and the humanities and social sciences to the extent useful for the spiritual development of man;
- for a good grade, the student has knowledge about the connection between theology and other sciences, but is unable to use it appropriately for spiritual and human formation;
- for a satisfactory grade, the student only has theological knowledge about the spiritual development of man.
W2 effect:
- for a very good grade, the student has in-depth knowledge of the contemporary teaching of the Catholic Church on the spiritual development of man;
- for a good grade, the student has basic knowledge of the contemporary teaching of the Catholic Church on the spiritual development of man;
- for a satisfactory grade, the student has selective knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church on youth and their pastoral care;
W3 effect:
- for a very good grade, the student knows and operates very well the processes and conditions of human religious and spiritual development and its threats; - for a good grade, the student knows very well the processes and conditions of human religious and spiritual development and its threats;
- for a satisfactory grade, the student is selectively aware of the processes and conditions of human religious and spiritual development and its threats. U1 effect:
- for a very good grade, the student can freely use information and integrate it into objective knowledge about human development; - for a good grade, the student uses information about human development very well but is unable to integrate it into objective knowledge;
- for a satisfactory grade, the student selectively uses information about young people.
U2 effect:
- for a very good grade, the student demonstrates the ability to identify patterns for a person's spiritual development and to establish cooperation with various entities for its benefit;
- for a good grade, the student demonstrates the ability to indicate patterns for human spiritual development without the ability to establish cooperation with various entities;
- for a satisfactory grade, the student knows the message of spiritual theology as an academic subject.
Effect KS1:
- for a very good grade, the listener is aware of the responsibility for the spiritual development of another person and is able to indicate the places responsible for formation;
- for a good grade, the listener is aware of the responsibility for the spiritual development of another person, but is unable to indicate the places responsible for his/her formation;
- for a satisfactory grade, the student understands the importance of spiritual formation in the modern world.
