Old Testament Pentateuch and Historical Books WT-FW-PKH
The lecture is aimed at introducing students to analytical work with the biblical text, especially in the field of historical literature of the Old Testament. The following will be presented: the history of the described text, the methods of interpretation, the biblical theology and history. In particular, we will pay attention to the genesis of Israeli legislation, events constituting a point of reference for further history, the problem of slavery and its theological and historiosophical interpretation, as well as the issues of the possibility of reconciling dissimilarity with the attitude of an orthodox adherent of Judaism.

The grade will be issued on the basis of a written work checking the ability to work independently with the biblical text.
5 for very good results
grade 4 for deficiencies in the content presented
Grade 3 for serious deficiencies
grade 2 (fail) in the case of failure to demonstrate elementary skills in the scope covered by the lecture.
