Course contents:
Patrology is a theological discipline: it examines the religious texts of Christian antiquity (I-VIII Century) on account of their theological value and in historical perspective of theology. The lecture's starting point is constituted by approaching the chief authors of this period, mainly the Latin and Greek Fathers. It presents their biographies, literary works and theological thought on the historic and cultural background. The students have the possibility to gain knowledge on the large patristic panorama and the development of ecclesiastical doctrine as well.

The following elements constitute the course's final grades (mark) :
- Grade (mark) for the written work
- Substantial knowledge and active participation in the classes
- Result of the final examination
