2. Discuss selected theological issues and joint discussion on specific topics based on selected literature.

What does the New Testament teach us about the Church?
1. Explanation of basic terminology.
2. Relationships of the Dogmatic Constitution on the Church with Biblical ecclesiological thought.
3. Discussion of selected issues from the ecclesiology of the New Testament: the Church as the chosen People of God, the Church as God's family and the community of disciples, the role of the liturgical assembly for the life of the Church, the issues of unity and diversity of the Church, leadership and responsibility in the Church community, the symbolic nature of the biblical language regarding the Church.

Graduate of classes:
TMA_U01 Formulates theological conclusions based on reading and analysis of selected biblical and theological texts
TMA_U06 is able to provide arguments in a substantive discussion regarding theological issues relating to the Church
TMA_U19 prepares written theological statements in English
TMA_U20 is able to argue and present his own conclusions from analyzes of theological texts in English

Assessment criteria

The student is obliged:
- to actively participate in classes (prior reading of selected texts, participation in discussions during classes)
- preparing a written essay on the topic indicated by the lecturer.

Bibliography

Literature provided in requirements of the didactic cycle related to the conversation topic.
