The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with the history and theology of devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. To acquire the ability to use the forms of Marian devotion. To develop competence in explaining the expressions of Marian devotion.

EW – The student will be able to analyze the liturgical sources of Marian devotion and the documents of the Magisterium concerning this devotion.
EU – The student will be able to apply their knowledge of the theology of Marian devotion and its expressions.

5 – very good – The student demonstrates a thorough knowledge of a critical approach to the expressions of Marian devotion.
4 – good – The student has a good knowledge of the theology of Marian devotion and its expressions.
3 – satisfactory – The student has fragmentary knowledge of the theological foundations of Marian devotion and its expressions.
2 – insufficient – The student has not mastered the basic knowledge of the theology of Marian devotion and its expressions; does not understand the basic concepts related to Marian devotion.

5 – very good – The student confidently applies theology in the area of the expressions of Marian devotion; correctly cites documents related to this devotion.
4 – good – The student correctly defines the theology of Marian devotion and its expressions, demonstrating good knowledge of the subject.
