Learning outcomes
Classes in the winter semester are held as full-time classes.
Knowledge: the student completes the knowledge of the subject and methodological specificity of theology, in particular in the field of Church history, which he/she develops and creatively applies in his/her professional activity. He understands the culture-forming role of the Church and theology, both in historical and social aspects. Defines the subject of Church History as a science and the methodology of historical and theological sciences, distinguishes and analyses the sources and literature of the subject, selects the basic themes of the issues analysed in the course of individual semesters, identifies individual epochs, distinguishes terms and concepts, lists and summarises the characteristics of a given epoch.
Skills: the student implements research skills in the field of theology, including in particular the analysis of philosophical, biblical and theological texts. Produces a synthesis of ideas and views. Selects methods and uses research tools, organises the presentation of results, allowing for original solutions to complex problems. Selects, analyses and compares historical sources, establishes facts, criticises them, draws conclusions on the basis of facts, learns about the genesis, course and effects of events, creates a summary.
Competences: a student discusses the knowledge he/she has learnt, is critical in expressing his/her opinions, is able to learn about reality as broadly and objectively as possible, expresses his/her opinions and judgments, accepts freedom of expression.
ECTS credits: participation in the lecture - 30 h, analysis of sources - 5 h, time to write a paper/dissertation - 5 h, preparation for the exam - 10 h. in total 50 h. ECTS number 50 h - 2 points.
Assessment criteria
Verification of learning outcomes. At the end of the learning cycle, the subject is passed at an individual oral colloquium on the entire material.
At least one month before the examination session, students will receive a comprehensive set of examination theses. Those who have missed no more than three lectures will be subject to a narrower range of questions as indicated in the examination question set.
A prerequisite for credit is an original four-page, two-part paper on a topic indicated by the lecturer at the beginning of the semester and handed in electronically: its first part after the first half of the semester and the second part at least two weeks before the end of the semester.
A grade of 2 (fail) - has not acquired the knowledge, skills and competences contained in the EK to the required minimum extent of 65%.
In the grade 3 (suff.) / 3.5 (suff.+) - the student has acquired the knowledge and skills and competences included in the EK within the range of 66% - 80%.
The grade 4 (good) / 4.5 (good+) - the student has acquired knowledge and skills and competences specified in the EC in a range of 81% - 90%.
Level 5 (v.good) - the student has acquired the knowledge, skills and competences specified in the EC between 91% and 100%.
