Catechetical Methodology WT-DNK-MK
Classes in the field of catechetical methodology are an indispensable element of preparing future teachers of religion to work at school. Participants of the classes will get acquainted with the basic knowledge in the field of catechetical didactics necessary for the proper conduct of methodological exercises. Participants of the classes, using the acquired theological knowledge, develop the ability to effectively convey the content of religious values using a diverse range of didactic methods.

Term 2023/24_Z: Participation in exercises: 30 hours
Preparation to conduct specific catechetical methods: 15 hours.
Consultations: 5 hours

Criteria for evaluation the work
Effect of education 1. A student is able to submit the choice of the catechetic methods pursuant to the catechetic aims and assignments:
- for mark D (fail): he is not able to explain the connection between the selected methods and accepted aims and tasks of the catechesis;
- for mark C (pass): he properly justifies the connection between methods and accepted goals and tasks of the catechesis; he indicates aims and assignments of the catechesis;
- for mark B (pass): he precisely defines material catechesis and indicates its structure and goals;
- for mark A (pass): he precisely presents the definition of material catechesis, indicates its structure and goals along with important events from the history of the catechesis, affecting its development.
Effect of education 2. A student presents the typology of the catechetic methods:
- for mark D (fail): he is not able to indicate few catechetic methods;
- for mark C (pass): he indicates basic catechetic methods;
- for mark B (pass): he properly characterizes basic catechetic methods;
- for mark A (pass): he properly characterizes and analyses catechetic methods.
Effect of education 3. A student determines the didactic principles used in the catechetic process:
- for mark D (fail): he is not able to indicate few didactic principles used in the catechetic process;
- for mark C (pass): he indicates various didactic principles used in the catechetic process;
- for mark B (pass): he properly characterizes many didactic principles used in the catechetic process;
- for mark A (pass): he precisely characterizes didactic principles used in the catechetic process and explains their practical usage.
Effect of education 4. A student mentions and characterizes different types of the catechetic methods:
- for mark D (fail): he is not able to indicate few examples of the catechetic methods;
- for mark C (pass): he indicates different types of the catechetic methods;
- for mark B (pass): he characterizes different types of the catechetic methods;
- for mark A (pass): he characterizes different types of the catechetic methods and gives the examples of their practical usage;
Effect of education 5. A student plans the usage of didactic goals in the catechesis:
- for mark D (fail): he is not able to explain the usage of didactic goals in the catechesis;
- for mark C (pass): he explains the basic usage of didactic goals in the catechesis;
- for mark B (pass): he properly explains the usage of didactic goals in the catechesis and combines it with the whole didactic process;
- for mark A (pass): he properly explains the usage of didactic goals in the catechesis and combines it with the whole didactic process along with the students’ needs and abilities.
Effect of education 6. A student develops his abilities of pupil’s assessment during the catechesis, along with his self-assessment
- for mark D (fail): he is not able to explain the principles of pupil’s assessment during the catechesis;
- for mark C (pass): he presents the principles of evaluation during the catechesis;
- for mark B (pass): he presents the main principles and tools of the pupil’s assessment during the catechesis; he is able to prepare the criteria of pupils’ assessment;
- for mark A (pass): he characterizes the principles and tools of the pupil’s assessment during the catechesis; he is able to prepare the system of evaluation the work and its results.
The final mark is the result of:
a. active participation in practical lectures (60%);
b. presentation of the chosen issue during practical lectures;
c. the evaluation of student’s knowledge and abilities observed during the lectures.
