7. Characteristics of a good speaker: self-confidence, ability to overcome stress when speaking to larger audiences, ability to speak spontaneously in crisis situations
8. Applications of rhetoric in conducting disputes: basic principles of debating, exercises in identifying and distinguishing eristic tricks in public speeches and in discussion fragments

EK1 is carried out using the teaching method - from lecture to class discussion, explaining the mistakes and advantages of the speaker and his reviewers by the teacher,
EK 2 implemented mainly using the problem method - problem lecture around the issues raised, discussion with points for participation, repeating characteristic errors,
EK 3 implemented by problem methods - didactic discussion,
EK 4 implemented by problem methods - didactic games, didactic discussion, method of the guiding pattern of expression,
EK 5 activating and practical methods - demonstration, reference to literature and models of great speakers and materials from literature.
Assessment criteria
Credit based on the presentation of a public speech during the course within the prescribed period (40%), a detailed written presentation plan (40%) and activity (20%). Criteria for the evaluation of public speech: (a) selection of the topic, (b) formulation of the main problem and main thesis, (c) structure of the speech, (d) degree of distinction between individual parts of the speech, (e) consistency of the speech and the use of transitions between the distinguished parts speeches, (f) the degree of ordering of theses and arguments, (g) building the speaker's ethos, (h) the degree of influence on the emotions of the audience (pathos), (i) logical correctness of the arguments (logos), (j) time control, (k) speech body, (l) the use of additional materials (e.g. outlines, illustrations).
