The exercises are designed to reinforce and deepen the material covered in lectures:
Case Studies – Students analyze real-world ethical dilemmas in business and propose solutions using ethical theories.
Oxford Debate – Participants argue for or against a specific ethical stance, developing skills in logical reasoning and ethical analysis.
Moderated Discussions – Group or class-wide discussions on the ethical aspects of business decisions, incorporating ethical theories and real-life examples.
Project-Based Learning (Group Research) – Students conduct research on a business ethics topic and present their findings as a report or presentation.
Simulations and Educational Games – Interactive exercises that simulate real-world ethical challenges in management, negotiations, and CSR strategy.
Problem-Based Learning – Students tackle real ethical issues in business, exploring and defending solutions based on ethical frameworks.
Presenting Analytical Findings (Oral and Written) – Students present case study analyses, research reports, and personal reflections in presentations or short essays.
Reflective Discussions – Students explore their personal values, moral decision-making, and the ethical consequences of business choices

Awareness of market, social, governmental, and environmental factors that shape ethical decision-making in business.
Ability to analyze corporate moral responsibility and construct arguments for and against viewing businesses as moral actors.
Understanding the drivers of ethical business behavior and the risks associated with greenwashing, technowashing, ethical manipulation, and misleading CSR practices.

Active participation in debates and case studies (based on the criteria below: research, debate participation, and debate evaluation) – 70%
Engagement in case studies and discussions – 30%
Passing threshold: 60%
Detailed Grading Criteria
Debates (20 points) = 6 points (research) + 7 points (participation in the debate) + 7 points (critical evaluation of another debate based on detailed criteria).
6 points – Group research for two debate topics:
3 points – Individual contribution (quality and depth of research for one’s assigned part).
3 points – Group evaluation (overall completeness, citations, bibliography, and coherence of research).
7 points – Participation in debates (1 point for each of the following criteria met, except the last criterion worth 2 points):
1. Speaking without reading from notes.
2. Relevance and strength of arguments.
3. Use of appropriate examples.
4. Fulfillment of assigned debate role.
5. Supporting arguments with data.
6. (2 points) Reference to ethical theories discussed in class.
7 points – Critical evaluation of other debates, conducted during class using dedicated assessment forms.
Case Studies and Discussions (10 points total):
Approximately 4 group case studies will be analyzed during exercises.
Up to 2 points per case study, based on contribution and analysis.
2 additional points awarded for participation in discussions.
