Intercultural communication in contemporary world WSE-SO-KMWWŚ
The course introduces the broadly understood field of communication sciences from a sociological perspective with elements of the humanities. A special area of evocation is cultural and philosophical anthropology, exposing the personalistic dimension of cultural analyses. The main complement to the analyses is the intercultural perspective, which differs from the multicultural and transcultural one. . The attributes of communication as a social interaction are outlined, with particular reference to such features as subjectivity, intentionality, but also contextuality and social dynamics of the values that condition them. It is indicated how the axiological dimension complements the fundamental observation of social interactions. The humanistic paradigm of communication analysis and the reasons for the critical attitude towards behavioral, semiotic and cognitive analyses as causes of reductionism in communication sciences are discussed. The practical value of the development of communication skills and sciences in the era of globalization is indicated, which shows not only the unification, but also the diversification of cultural processes.
