Learning outcomes and competence:
K01. The student understands the main stages of the history of migration worldwide and in Europe, identifies their causes, and characterizes the social, political, and economic consequences of selected migration movements.
K02. The student lists and describes the key legal acts of the United Nations and the European Union concerning migration, such as the Geneva Convention, Schengen and Dublin regulations, and the Eurodac system; explains their significance and application in the context of migration policy.
K03. The student compares of the migration policies of selected European Union countries, their main assumptions and analysis that impact migrants.
K04. The student describes the difference between migrant and refugee.
K05. The student identifies the main directions of current migration flows, indicates the countries of origin of migrants, and describes their basic cultural and religious characteristics.
K06. The student explains the increasing negative attitudes of society towards immigrants in Europe.
K07. The student describes the process of social integration through education.
K08. The student links the process of social integration with the labor market.
K09. The student explains the mechanisms of discrimination against migrants in Europe and describes institutional and social measures taken to counteract it.
