Analysis of investment projects WSE-EKN-MGR-API
The course aims to familiarise students with the issues involved in preparing and evaluating investment projects, their financing, risk analysis, and economic and social effectiveness. Particular emphasis is placed on the practical application of investment evaluation methods in conditions of uncertainty and a changing market environment.
As part of the course, students will learn about the life cycle of an investment project, methods of evaluating effectiveness (static and dynamic), cash flow analysis, sources of investment financing, sensitivity analysis and scenario analysis. Legal and institutional regulations as well as environmental and social aspects of investments will also be discussed.
Students will learn about tools and techniques for evaluating investment projects, including NPV, IRR, PI, discounted payback period and selected risk assessment methods. They will also gain practical skills in applying these tools through the analysis of investment cases.
The course also aims to develop skills in teamwork, critical data analysis, and the preparation of reports and presentations on investment projects. Students will also learn to recognise and take into account aspects of sustainable development, innovation, and social responsibility in the investment process.

Assessment criteria
Assessment criteria for the course ‘Investment Project Analysis’:
· 2 – the student has not familiarised themselves with the curriculum, does not demonstrate knowledge of the basic concepts of the subject ‘Investment Project Analysis’ and has not participated in classes and activities.
· 3 – the student has familiarised themselves with the curriculum to a basic extent, completed the minimum range of tasks necessary to learn the basics of the subject ‘Investment Project Analysis’ and participated in classes without demonstrating additional activity.
· 4 – the student has a high level of familiarity with the curriculum, is able to apply basic methods of investment effectiveness assessment, knows the basic concepts of the subject ‘Investment Project Analysis’ and is able to analyse simple investment cases; participated in classes, demonstrating additional activity.
· 5 – the student has familiarised themselves with the curriculum to a very high degree, is able to apply advanced methods and interpret them critically, has mastered the basic and additional concepts of the subject, knows and is able to solve problems related to the subject of ‘Investment Project Analysis’, participated in classes, being an active listener and speaker, performing additional activities.
