• Case studies: Analysis of successful business models in various industries.
3. Innovation in business models (3 hours)
• Techniques and strategies for innovation and improvement of business models.
• Group activity: Participants work in teams to innovate or improve an existing business model using the Business Model Canvas.
4. Business models in the digital era (3 hours)
• The impact of digital transformation on business models.
• Exploring digital business models: Platform businesses, freemium models and subscription services.
5. Sustainable development and social business models (2 hours)
• Integrating sustainability into business models: Opportunities and challenges.
• Case study: Analysis of a successful sustainable or social business model.
6. Future trends in business models (2 hours)
• Upcoming trends affecting business models: Technological advances, changes in consumer behavior and globalization.
• Discussion: How can companies adapt to future trends to remain competitive?

Purposes of the lecture
In terms of knowledge:
• Understanding of key concepts and tools used in creating and analyzing business models, including the Business Model Canvas.
• Learning about the diversity of business models used in various sectors and their adaptation to the changing business environment.
• Gaining knowledge about the impact of digitalization on business models and understanding the role of sustainable development in shaping business strategies.
In terms of skills:
• Ability to use the Business Model Canvas to create, evaluate and innovate business models.
• Ability to analyze business cases and draw conclusions regarding the effectiveness of various business models.
• Ability to predict trends and adapt business models to future changes in the business environment.
In terms of social competences:
• Ability to work in a team and communicate in the process of creating and innovating business models.
• Development of critical thinking and argumentation skills during discussions and analysis of case studies.
• Strengthening presentation skills and the ability to convince others to use your own business solutions.
Assessment criteria
Very good grade (5.0): The student demonstrates a deep understanding of all key concepts of the course, demonstrates an exceptional ability to analyze and innovate business models. Actively participates in classes, demonstrating high social competences.
• Good grade (4.0-4.5): The student has a good understanding of the course material and is able to effectively apply business analysis tools. Demonstrates good skills in group work and discussions.
• Satisfactory grade (3.0-3.5): The student has basic knowledge of business models and is able to use the main tools with limited effectiveness. Activity in classes is minimal, but sufficient to pass.
• Failure (2.0): Student does not demonstrate understanding of key course concepts, has difficulty applying business analysis tools, and does not actively participate in class.
