Introduction to corporate financial management – 6 hours
Theory of business management – 12 hours, including:
The enterprise in the market environment
Objectives, methods, and tools for assessing the financial condition of a multi-plant enterprise
Time value of money
Evaluation of current performance based on the income statement
Cost accounting as a basis for optimizing business processes
Balance sheet analysis
Analysis of changes in equity and the financial leverage effect
Cash flow statement
Evaluation of key areas of activity (liquidity, profitability)
Working capital management
Sources of capital acquisition by the enterprise
Financing operations and development through bank credit
Sources of capital acquisition on the capital market
Money as a tool for measuring investment efficiency
Investment planning (capital budgeting)
Methods for evaluating the efficiency of tangible investments
Alternative methods of corporate financing
Financial planning
Capital structure management
Current assets management
Analysis of a company’s financial condition – analysis and case study – 12 hours
Teaching methods:
The seminar is conducted as a problem-based and discussion-oriented course, placing students in the context of real economic dilemmas in order to actively search for theoretical solutions. The teaching process is enriched with case study analysis.

EM2_U01: The graduate is able to perform tasks and formulate as well as solve economic problems using newly acquired knowledge, including knowledge from other disciplines.
EM2_U06: The graduate is able to analyze, forecast, and model complex social processes using advanced methods and tools from scientific disciplines relevant to the field of study.
The student acquires both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of corporate financial management, particularly in connection with conducted analyses.
