The aim of the course is to consolidate and deepen knowledge of civil law, select a topic and have the student independently prepare a master's thesis.

Learning outcomes
EK 1 – Can select a master's thesis topic, gather relevant literature, prepare a thesis plan, and formulate basic theses.
EK 2 – Can design a main outline of the thesis, find appropriate research methods, develop criteria for research findings, and predict results.
EK 3 – Can independently define a research thesis in a thesis, draw conclusions based on assertions, recognize motives or causes, and provide evidence and draw accurate conclusions.
EK 4 – Can clearly present a thesis they have formulated. Appropriately uses normative acts and court decisions.
EK 5 – Understands the need for continuous improvement of their knowledge, can resolve dilemmas related to practicing law, organize teamwork, and implement innovative ideas.

Participation in classes - 32 hours
Literature reading - 68 hours
Master's thesis writing - 100 hours
Total Hours - 200
NUMBER OF ECTS POINTS (200 hours/25) PER SUBJECT = 8 ECTS
Assessment criteria
The condition for passing the course is the submission of at least one chapter of a master's thesis prepared independently by the student and approved by the supervisor, as well as good knowledge of issues from the general part of civil law and the section related to the topic of the thesis.
