Lecture 1: general issues of international integration; history of integration processes in Europe;
Lecture 2: EU as a subject of international law;
Lecture 3: scope of EU law; Member States and the EU (the principle of loyal cooperation, the transfer of competences as the basis of EU law, principle of primacy of EU law, principle of direct effect the obligation to ensure the effectiveness of EU law in national law, the responsibility of the state for a breach of EU law);
Lecture 4: axiology of EU law; sources of EU law (primary law, general principles of EU law, secondary law, international agreements) and interpretation of EU law;
Lecture 5: law-making in EU (creation of primary law, conclusion of international agreements with third parties, creation of secondary law); methods of integration (unification, harmonization, coordination);
Lecture 6: implementation of EU law into the national law;
Lecture 7: judicial control of compliance with EU law: complaint about a breach of EU law, complaint about annulment, complaint about failure to act, a complaint under Article 269 TFEU, a claim for damages;
Lecture 8: person in the EU: EU citizenship, protection of fundamental rights; budgetary;

Assessment methods: the basis for admission to the exam is passing the exercises. The exam takes place after the lectures, in the oral form.
