It is assumed that after receiving the credit for the course of "Criminal law - MA seminar, V year), the student shall poses the ability of critical and comprehensive analysis of all issues related to criminal law, including more complex issues.
The assumption is that students attending the MA seminar on criminal law :
1) have acquired and understood the rules governing the Polish criminal law, in particular, the premises and fundamentals of criminal liability for acts committed and the directives of the system for administration of penalties and penal measures, as well as the rules governing the application of securing measures;
2) know "the criminal law language" (i.e. law and legal language within the scope referring to criminal law) and posses an ability of relatively fluently using the terminology of this language;
3) posses the skill of assessing simple and medium complex factual state of affairs from the perspective of criminal law regulations;
4) posses the ability to conduct critical and versatile analysis of simple issues within the field of criminal law;
5) are prepared to select individually and independently a topic for the MA thesis within the field of criminal law;
6) posses the abilities and knowledge necessary to prepare an MA thesis on a selected topic within the field of criminal law.
Prior to the MA seminar on criminal law, students shall obtain credits from course on: "Constitutional law", "Introduction to jurisprudence", "Criminal law", and "Criminal law - an MA seminar, IV year". Exceptionally, upon the Dean's decision, the seminar can be attended by a student who received a credit from an MA seminar-IV year other than the course on criminal law.
Revision of the rules and methodology for writing an MA thesis and particular related problems (topic selection, developing thesis plan, thesis structure, dividing thesis into editing units, references and footnotes, thesis revision and editing etc.)
A detailed analysis of selected issues related to the criminal act science and penalty science, in particular, focused on the elements of the criminal act structure.
