International Human Rights Law WP-PR-MON-IHRL
The aim of the course will be realised in two parts of the seminar. The first part covers general issues, the second part specific issues. The first part focuses on the normative instruments of international human rights protection and its mechanisms. The second part will be devoted to specific issues in the field of the functions of fundamental freedoms and human rights in the face of contemporary challenges - the tasks of related states in the face of contemporary challenges to the international protection of human rights.
Term 2022/23_Z:
The subject presents the most important issues in international human rights law. First, the social and political context of the emergence of the universal concept of human rights will be elaborated, together with its basic principles. This will be followed by an introduction to the normative structure of human rights and the obligations of states parties to human rights treaties.
