E-commerce in EU law WP-PR-MON-EEUL

The course concentrates on selected European Union legal instruments and policy to regulate electronic commerce. The course will focus in particular on the changes introduced by the Digital Services Act and the Digital Markets Act.

Sources of EU law on e-commerce
The concept of information society services
Duties of information society service providers.
Responsibility and liability of intermediaries. New obligations of platforms and gatekeepers
E-commerce and consumer protection
GDPR and ePrivacy
Digital content and digital services contracts
Geoblocking in the light of EU law
Applicable law and jurisdiction
Supervision and redress
