The aim of the course is to teach the student to analyze the basic political institutions. The student is to learn the way of creation, composition and functioning of public authorities. In particular, he should acquire the ability to analyze legal provisions so that he can solve simple problems in the field of constitutional law. The student is to learn the rules of the legislative process. The classes are to teach students how to analyze the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Tribunal so that they can independently evaluate the decisions of this Tribunal.

Learning outcomes:
EK1: explains the basic concepts of constitutional law and the origin and nature of the sources of constitutional law (reference to the directional learning effect of the symbol AD1_U02).
EK2 uses the theoretical knowledge in the field of constitutional law to describe and analyze the actual state in a specific situation and to indicate the solution to the constitutional problem (reference to the directional learning effect with the symbol AD1_U02, AD1_U03, AD1_U05)
EK3 analyzes the texts of normative acts in the field of constitutional law and is able to analyze the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Tribunal concerning a specific public-law issue (reference to the directional learning effect with the symbol AD1_U09)
EK4 prepares a draft provision authorizing the issuing of a regulation (reference to the directional learning effect with the symbol AD1_U08)
EK5 is able to prepare a simple draft letter initiating the proceedings before the Constitutional Tribunal (AD1_U07)
EK6 takes part in the discussion on specific constitutional problems (AD1_K01; AD1_K02; AD1_K03; AD1_K05; AD1_K06).

With a grade of 2 (Ndst.) Is unable to explain basic concepts and institutions in the field of constitutional law or the origin and nature of the sources of constitutional law
With a grade of 3 (dst.) Explains the basic concepts of constitutional law as well as the origin and nature of the sources of constitutional law sufficiently
With a grade of 4 (db.) Explains the basic concepts of constitutional law as well as the origin and nature of the sources of constitutional law to a good degree
With a grade of 5 (very good) explains the basic concepts of constitutional law as well as the origin and nature of the sources of constitutional law to a very good degree
In terms of EK2: uses theoretical knowledge in the field of constitutional law to describe and analyze the factual state in a specific situation and to indicate the resolution of the constitutional problem (reference to the directional learning effect with the symbol AD1_U02, AD1_U03, AD1_U05)

In terms of EK3: analyzes the texts of normative acts in the field of constitutional law and is able to analyze the jurisprudence of the Constitutional Tribunal regarding a specific public-law issue (reference to the directional learning effect with the symbol AD1_U09)
