Assistant Internship WNP-PS-PAO
The stage of the practice is assisting. The student learns the organization of the work of the dormitory for visually impaired children and special kindergarten, acquires the documentation of the institution, observes the classes conducted with the children, assists the teacher. The student documents his observations, attempts to conduct his own classes. He also analyzes the work of the teacher and the students. It is important for the student to know the teacher's didactic and educational skills and how he / she works with the students.

Knowledge:
PSI_W17 - the student has basic knowledge about the organizational assumptions and structure of the institution;
PSI_TS2_W01 - the student has an elementary and orderly knowledge of the pedagogy of people with intellectual disabilities and typhlogagogy including the subject, scope, teleology, terminology and methodology of these special education disciplines;
PSI_SN_W08 - the student has basic knowledge about the specificity of functioning of children / pupils in the context of regularity and developmental abnormalities.

PSI_U01 - the student is able to observe the activity of teachers and children / pupils with special educational needs and has the ability to understand and interpret them;
PSI_TS2_U12 - the student has the ability to cooperate with the specialists of the institution where he / she is practicing;

Assessment criteria
For assessment 3.0 (satisfactory):
- The student has basic knowledge about organizational assumptions and structure of the institution; The student has an elementary and orderly knowledge of the pedagogy of people with intellectual disabilities and typhlogagogy including the subject, scope, teleology, terminology and methodology of these special education disciplines; The student has basic knowledge about the specificity of functioning of children / pupils in the context of regularity and developmental abnormalities;
- The student is able to observe the activity of teachers and children / pupils with special educational needs only of a reporting nature and has the ability to understand and interpret them; The student has the ability to cooperate with the specialists of the institution where he / she is practicing but without his / her own initiative;
- The student is fundamentally aware of his / her level of knowledge and skills and understands the need for continuous learning; It also understands the needs of pupils with intellectual and visual disabilities and is sensitive to the specificities of their physical, mental and social development.
For rating 3.5 (positive plus):
- The student has basic knowledge about organizational assumptions and structure of the institution, defines them and explains them; The student has elementary and orderly knowledge about the pedagogy of people with intellectual disability and typhlogagogy - defines and explains the subject, scope, teleology, terminology and methodology of these special education disciplines; The student has a basic knowledge of the specificities of the functioning of the children / pupils and explains it in the context of the correctness and developmental abnormalities;
- The student is able to observe the activity of teachers and children / pupils with special educational needs and has the ability to fully understand and interpret them; The student has the ability to cooperate with the specialists of the institution where he / she is practicing self-initiative;
- The student is fully aware of the level of his knowledge and skills and understands the need for continuous learning; fully understands the needs of students with intellectual and visual disabilities and is sensitive to the specificities of their physical, mental and social development.
Rating 4.0 (good):
- The student has complex knowledge about the organizational assumptions and structure of the institution, defines them and explains them; The student has a complex and organized knowledge of the pedagogy of people with intellectual disabilities and typhlogagogics - defines and explains the subject, scope, teleology, terminology and methodology of these disciplines of special pedagogy; The student has full knowledge of the specificities of the functioning of the children / pupils and explains it in the context of the correctness and developmental abnormalities;
- The student is able to observe the activity of teachers and children / pupils with special educational needs and has the ability to fully understand and interpret them - their observations can be organized; The student has the ability to cooperate with the specialists of the institution in which he / she conducts his / her own practice;
- The student is fully aware of his / her level of knowledge and skills and understands the need for continuous learning; fully understands the needs of students with intellectual and visual disabilities and is sensitive to the specificity of their physical, mental and social development - builds a friendly and warm relationship.
Rated 4.5 (good plus):
- The student has complex knowledge about organizational assumptions and structure of the institution, defines them, explains and analyzes them; The student has a complex and organized knowledge of the pedagogy of people with intellectual disabilities and typhlogagogics - defines, explains and analyzes the subject, scope, teleology, terminology and methodology of these disciplines of special pedagogy; The student has full knowledge of the specificities of the functioning of children / pupils and explains them and analyzes them in the context of regularity and developmental abnormalities;
- The student is able to observe the activity of teachers and children / pupils with special educational needs and has the ability to fully understand, interpret and analyze - his observations can organize; The student has the ability to cooperate with the specialists of the institution in which he / she is practicing his or her personal creative initiative;
- The student is fully aware of the level of his knowledge and skills and understands the need for continuous learning - he criticizes his personal knowledge and skills; fully understands the needs of students with intellectual and visual disabilities and is sensitive to the specificity of their physical, mental and social development - builds a friendly and warm relationship based on discipline and pedagogical optimism.
Rated 5.0 (very good):
- The student has complex knowledge about the organizational assumptions and structure of the institution, defines them, explains, analyzes and presents them; The student has complex and organized knowledge about the pedagogy of people with intellectual disabilities and typhlogagogics - defines, explains, analyzes and presents the subject, scope, teleology, terminology and methodology of these sub-disciplines of special pedagogy; The student has full knowledge of the specificities of the functioning of the children / pupils, explains it, analyzes and presents in the context of the correctness and developmental abnormalities;
- The student is able to observe the activity of teachers and children / pupils with special educational needs and has the ability to fully understand, interpret and analyze - their observations can organize and construct conclusions; The student has the ability to cooperate with the specialists of the institution in which he or she conducts a practice with a personal creative initiative - verifies the cooperation;
- The student is fully aware of the level of his knowledge and skills and understands the need for continuous improvement - he criticizes personal knowledge and skills, is oriented towards creative development; fully understands the needs of students with intellectual and visual disabilities and is sensitive to the specificity of their physical, mental and social development - builds a friendly and warm relationship based on discipline and pedagogical optimism.
