The subject is to analyze the basic problems and conceptual categories in the field of pedagogy, which enable the understanding of the correctness of the teaching process and school upbringing, in the context of the student's needs and development opportunities. The subject, referring to the philosophical, psychological or sociological sciences, draws attention to the achievements of pedagogy important for educational practice, as well as current trends in the development of pedagogy and issues being the subject of research and theoretical considerations.

W3 - The student knows the paradigms of early education, their determinants and the consequences of the theoretical assumptions in working with a child in the school environment; challenges, tasks and functions of early childhood education.

For a satisfactory grade /3,0/ The student knows the basic knowledge of early education, the tasks and functions of early childhood education, the principles and ethical standards of designing and conducting research in the field of early childhood education and alternative education. Can observe and diagnose pedagogical situations and events, using acquired psychological, philosophical, sociological and medical knowledge. He can conduct pedagogical activities, recognize the needs, abilities and talents of children (including children with special educational needs) and plan, implement and evaluate education and upbringing programs.
