Description. The concept of victimology as a science, its tasks, issues of contemporary research and development trends. Areas of contemporary victimology (theological, natural, organic, individual, social groups, social, criminal, new victimology). The importance of practical orientation in order to reduce the effects of victimology influence of an evil situation on the life, health and psychosocial functioning human being. Victimology relations with other sciences. Historical aspects of the development of victimology as a science of the victims of crime. The founders and the first criminal investigators victimology (Hans von Hentig, Henri Ellenberger, Benjamin Mendelsohn). Difficult and crisis situations in human life and how to respond to them. Definitions and types of threats to the proper functioning of human society. The concept of the victim and the process of victimization. The concept of the rights of the victim. Typologies of victims in victimology due to different criteria (individual characteristics of victims, participated in the genesis of crime; mixed typologies of victims of crime). Susceptibility factors of victimization (predestination, provocation, carelessness, harshness). Characteristics of selected groups of victims (the homeless, victims of domestic violence, rape) and mechanisms of victimization. The theoretical justification for the process of creating a "scapegoat" Conditions of adaptation to the individual situation of victimization The concept of secondary victimization and victims of chronic. The vulnerability of the victims chronic victims jn the victimization in the light of the test results.

EK2 - student is able to characterize the fields of contemporary victimology (especially criminal victimology) and its research problems;
EK3 - student can describe the historical stages of the development of criminal victimology in the context of criminal law;
EK4 - student can list the first investigators of criminal victimology and indicates their achievements;
EK5 - student can list and describe various typologies of victims;
EK6 - student can explain the impact of different types of crisis situations on victims;
EK7 - student can characterize selected groups of victims (homeless people, victims of domestic violence, rape victims, prostitutes)
EK8 - student can explain the conditioning of the individual's adaptation to the situation of grievance,
