Undergraduate seminar WNP-PE-SEM-LIC-2-2
The classes will have two modules: the first is to specify the topics of diploma theses and introduce the methodology of writing theoretical research papers, the second is to prepare a work plan based on a bibliographic query. By the end of April, the student is obliged to specify the topic of his diploma thesis. In May, the student is obliged to present the plan of his diploma thesis.

Learning outcomes
(W) The student presents knowledge in the field of: methodology of scientific work and philosophy of education, general pedagogy and pedagogy of culture.
(U) The student is able to perform a bibliographic query in the field of the selected topic of the diploma thesis. Can: analyze scientific literature; formulate a research question, put forward theses and justify them; use scientific language; build the structure of scientific work, prepare documentation.
(K) Demonstrates conscientiousness in conducting research on the diploma thesis. He sees the universal dimension of Christian values in pedagogical practice. Is aware of the ethical principles in scientific work.
Assessment criteria
- 2.0 (unsatisfactory): The student is unable to use the terminology used in general pedagogy and the philosophy of education; does not know the methodology of scientific work. He is not preparing for work at the diploma seminar. He leaves the seminars. He does not cooperate with the seminar leader.
- 3.0 (satisfactory): The student has basic knowledge of general pedagogy and the philosophy of education; is able to present appropriate bibliographic sources within the scope covered by the subject of the diploma thesis; knows the methods of scientific work. He lacks regularity in preparing for work at the diploma seminar, he does not fully cooperate with the seminar leader. Has low language skills.
Grade 3.5 (sufficient plus) The student has basic knowledge of general pedagogy and philosophy of education; is able to present appropriate bibliographic sources within the scope covered by the subject of the diploma thesis; knows the methods of scientific work. He systematically demonstrates preparation for work at the diploma seminar, presents the results of his research. He cooperates with the seminar leader. Has satisfactory language skills.
- grade 4 (good): The student not only has knowledge of general pedagogy and the philosophy of education and is able to select bibliographic sources, knows the methods of scientific work, but uses these methods in the preparation of his diploma thesis, and the sources are subjected to critical analysis. He is systematic in the preparation of his diploma thesis. He willingly cooperates with the seminar leader. He has good language skills.
for the grade 4.5 (good plus): The student not only has knowledge of general pedagogy and the philosophy of education and is able to choose bibliographic sources, knows the methods of scientific work, but also uses these methods creatively in the preparation of his diploma thesis, and critically analyzes the sources. He is systematic in the preparation of his diploma thesis. Has good language skills. He willingly cooperates with the seminar leader.
- for the grade 5 (very good): The student, meeting the criteria for obtaining a good grade, is also creative and independent in his research. Efficiently synthesizes the results of scientific analysis. He has very good language skills. He is open to discussion about the work, willingly cooperating with the seminar leader.
