Education in Europe Contemporary Approaches WNP-PE-ERAS-PRNS-Z
The aim of the course is to provide students with a comparative knowledge of contemporary educational priorities of the European Union, educational paradigms and problems of education and higher education in the world, with a particular focus on the European context.
We will discuss the following issues:
1. The school and the educational policy of the European Union. Selected aspects.
2. Contemporary paradigm and problems of education in European countries using selected examples
3. Discussion of the Polish or other self-selected educational system in comparison with the educational priorities of Europe
4. Multiculturalism - culture, linguistic and social diversity as an educational challenge
5. Alternative visions of education at schools in Europe (pluralism of concepts of education of children and youth)
6. Finnish education as a model of modern education or what we can learn from the Finnish experience
7. European universities as a beacon of freedom and democracy. Academic education or for the labour market?
During the activities, we will discuss and exchange views and do exercises using supplementary materials (worksheets, metaphors, games with argumentation of one's position)

During the course, the student will receive a worksheet on the current issue, and at the end of the class they will hand in the completed exercises.
