(in Polish) Pedagogical seminar in English at the B2+ level: Philosophical anthropology WNP-PE-ERAS-PMB
The following learning goals have been established:
A thorough examination of concise Stoic literary compositions is imperative.
The objective is to establish a connection between ancient ideas and contemporary issues.
It is imperative to comprehend the fundamental tenets of the Polish School of Classical Philosophy.
The development of structured philosophical dialogue skills is of paramount importance.
The structure of the class is as follows:
The first part of the course is the Stoic Text Lab, which involves a close reading of the assigned text and a subsequent group discussion.
The second part of the program consists of a lecture and subsequent discussion on the Polish School of Classical Philosophy.
Post-class: Kindly submit a reflection of one to two pages in length.
Assessment: Engagement in discourse and collaborative activities is to be documented.
It is imperative that regular reflection notes be taken after each class.
The overall course credit is contingent upon engagement with the corpus of Marcus Aurelius texts.
The following reading is designated as primary: Marcus Aurelius, Meditations (free translation on Teams).
Secondary texts include those from the Polish School of Classical Philosophy.
Optional texts are also available.
