Fieldwork - Wielkopolska Wschodnia WNHS-HS-ĆTWW
During the course of the workshop, participants will learn about works of modern Polish and foreign visual arts, including architectural objects, selected works of painting and sculpture and artistic crafts collected at the National Museum in Poznan.
These will include:
- Ratusz - Muzeum Poznania;
- Kościół Franciszkanów pw. św. Antoniego Padewskiego;
- Kościół farny (pojezuicki) obecnie Bazylika kolegiacka Matki Bożej Nieustającej Pomocy, św. Marii Magdaleny i św. Stanisława Biskupa;
- Kościół Jezuitów (podominikański) pw. Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa i Matki Bożej Pocieszenia. Sanktuarium MB Różańcowej;
- Muzeum Narodowe w Poznaniu - Galeria malarstwa i rzeźby;
- Muzeum Narodowe w Poznaniu - Muzeum Sztuk Użytkowych.

Learning outcomes
On completion of the course the participant:
- has a structured detailed knowledge of the development of European art from antiquity to modern times, knows the terminology and basic research methods of art history
- knows and understands the methods of analysing and interpreting works of art, has knowledge of theories and methodologies applied in art history and is familiar with its latest developments
- has research skills, including: a) the analysis of problems in the field of art history, including the analysis of objects in situ; b) the selection of research methods and tools, used both in theoretical work and, inter alia
in the inventory of monuments; c) preparation and presentation of results, using advanced information and communication techniques
- is able to recognise different types and kinds of works of art, and to carry out their critical analysis and interpretation using typical methods in order to determine their meanings, social impact and place in the
historical-cultural process
- is able to use specialist language and appropriate terminology in art history
- has the ability to construct a logical spoken and written statement in Polish and foreign language. he/she is able to prepare a scientific text with a research apparatus and correctly developed photographs of works of art.
- Is prepared to cooperate and take action for the benefit of the social environment. He/she is also prepared to acquire knowledge in the field of art history on his/her own by taking advantage of, among other things, specialist consultations.

ECTS [1 ECTS = 30(25) hours]:
participation in field exercises: 6 hrs.
