Learning outcomes
KNOWLEDGE:
BW07 - defines models and styles of interpersonal communication;
BW09 - discusses selected theories and methods of reality modeling from the perspective of sociology applicable in nursing;
BW10 discusses selected areas of cultural and religious differences;
BW31- explains the assumptions of health education models, including the family medicine model, the role and tasks of the primary care nurse;
BW42 - has knowledge of useful philosophical and ethical concepts
in nursing (psychoLogico-personalistic, existentialist, personalistic, cosmic-evolutionary, independent ethics of Tadeusz Kotarbiński);
SKILLS:
BU02 - assesses the impact of illness, hospitalization and other difficult situations on the physical, mental and social functioning of a person;
BU09 - controls errors and barriers in the communication process;
BU10- demonstrates the ability to listen actively;
BU11- uses the techniques of verbal, non-verbal and non-verbal communication in health care;
BU12 - creates conditions for proper communication between nurse - patient and nurse - medical staff;
Assessment criteria
The condition for passing the course is active participation in online classes, preparation of an independent work (project) on a topic assigned by the teacher and discussing it in public.

The dst (3) grade for the course is given to the student who, during the course and presentation of the final project in terms of knowledge, will demonstrate knowledge of models and styles of interpersonal communication with the patient.
In terms of skills, demonstrate competence in how to use verbal, non-verbal and non-verbal communication techniques in healthcare.
The db (4) grade for the course is awarded to the student who, apart from meeting the requirements for the dst (3) during classes and presentation of the final project in the field of knowledge, he will demonstrate knowledge of the impact of selected areas of cultural and religious differences on communication in medical care, and in terms of skills, he will also demonstrate the ability to listen actively.
A very good grade (5) from the course is given to the student who, in addition to meeting the requirements for the db (4) grade, during the course and presentation of the final project in terms of knowledge, will demonstrate knowledge of philosophical and ethical concepts useful in nursing (psychoogical-personalistic, existentialist, personalistic, cosmic-evolutionary, independent ethics of Tadeusz Kotarbiński), and in terms of skills, he will demonstrate the ability to create conditions for proper communication between nurse - patient and nurse - medical staff.
