(in Polish) Interventional Neuroradiology WMCM-LE-IN-e
The course covers the theoretical and clinical foundations of interventional neuroradiology as a rapidly developing subspecialty of interventional
radiology.
The scope includes:
the organisation of the ischaemic stroke treatment system and the role of mechanical
thrombectomy, techniques for embolisation of cerebral aneurysms (coil, stent-assisted, flow
diverter),
treatment of vascular malformations (AVM, DAVF),
angioplasty and stenting of carotid and intracranial arteries, embolisation of
the middle meningeal artery in subdural haematoma, principles of
radiological protection and procedural safety, peri-procedural complications
and their treatment,
interdisciplinary cooperation: neurologist – neuroradiologist – neurosurgeon – anaesthesiologist.
The course emphasises the importance of EBM, current guidelines (ESO/ESMINT/AHA), patient qualification and stroke unit organisation. The
elective course comprises 15 hours of seminars.
