The substantial contents of the lecture shall include the following issues: 1. The concept and division of canon law; 2. Sources of the Church law in Poland on which canon law formed and developed (documents from the Holy See, statutes of legate, plenary, provincial and diocese synods as well as other legislative factors); 3. The oldest classics of canon law literature; 4. Canonical scientific and educational centres; 5. Canonical scientific work and its meaning for the institutions of canon law in the Church in Poland; 6. Organisation of teaching of canon law and collections of church documents, church archives and archive records.
Positive knowledge, acquiring the curriculum contents, attendance and activity during classes. A written or oral examination.

Knowledge:
EK 1 - student knows basic concepts; Knows what is canon law and knows its importance and contribution to the life and work of the Church;
EK 2 - student has knowledge of the origins, formation and development of canon law in its various legal institutions;
EK 3 - Student has an established knowledge of the formation of canon law in the Church in various collections ranging from the Decree of Gracjan, the Council of Trent, the Corpus Iuris Caninici, the Code of Canon Law of 1917, the Second Vatican Council and the Code of Canon Law.
EK 4- student has knowledge about the most important institutions of canon law that have arisen, formed and function in the Universal Church in its more than twentieth century history and can describe and explain it.
Skills:
EK 5 - student can identify, describe and analyze the most important institutions of canon law in historical terms;
EK 6 - student formulates the canons of canon law and issues related to the history of universal canon law in speaking and writing;
EK 7 - student finds and uses sources of information on the universal history of canon law, its development and evolution of its norms.

EK 8 - student can plan and organize individual work aimed at fulfilling the research objective and assimilating the contents of the universal history of canon law;

Knowledge (EK 1 - 4):
Assessment 2 (ndst) - the student does not know the basic concepts of universal canon law and its role, significance and contribution to the life and work of the Church; He also has minimal basic knowledge about the origins of church organization in the Church and the development of canon law; There is no orderly knowledge of the formation of canon law through ecclesiastical legislation and the various collections and codifications of canon law arising out of the history of the Church; He also has minimal basic knowledge about the most important institutions of canon law, their development and formation, and the most important norms of universal canon law, their basic knowledge and importance for the Church.
Assessment 3 (dst) - the student knows to a limited extent the basic concepts of universal canon law and its role, meaning and contribution to the life and work of the Church; He also has poorly organized knowledge about the origins of church organization in the Church and the development of canon law; Has a poorly structured knowledge of the formation of universal canon law through church legislation and the various collections and codifications of canon law universal in the course of Church history; He also has very limited knowledge of the major institutions of canon law, their development and formation, and the most important norms of universal ecclesiastical law.
Assessment 4 (db) - student knows well the basic concepts of universal canon law and its role, importance and contribution to the life and work of the Church; He also has a well-rounded understanding of the origins of ecclesiastical formation and the development of canon law in the Church; Has a good, well-ordered knowledge of the formation of canon law through universal ecclesiastical legislation and the various collections and codifications of canon law universally arising within the history of the Church; He also has partial, well-ordered knowledge of the most important institutions of canon law, their development and formation, and the most important norms of universal ecclesiastical law.
Assessment 5 (bdb) - student knows very well the basic concepts relating to universal canon law and its role, meaning and contribution to the life and work of the Church; He also has a well-rounded understanding of the origins of ecclesiastical organization and the development of canon law; Has a very good, well-ordered knowledge of the formation of canon law through common ecclesiastical legislation and its various institutions, and the various collections and codifications of canon law universally throughout the history of the Church; He also has complete knowledge of the most important institutions of universal canon law, their development and formation, and the most important norms of universal canon law.
Skills (EK 5 - 8):
Assessment 2 (ndst) - a student is unable to identify and describe the most important institutions of universal canon law in historical terms and can not use basic concepts in the history of canon law; Nor can it identify and illustrate the institution of canon law, their formation and development, and issues related to universal ecclesiastical law in the speech and writing; He has no basic and sufficient research skills to formulate and analyze problems related to the history of canon law; Nor can he use fundamental sources in the history of canon law; Nor can he use his theoretical knowledge to describe and analyze the processes and legal phenomena taking place in the history of canon law and to formulate his own opinions; He can not prepare a speech in the Polish language on the subject of the history of canon law, using the sources of that law and their proper interpretation.
Assessment 3 (dst) - the student is able to identify and describe to a limited extent the most important institutions of universal canon law in historical terms and is able to use the basic notions of the history of canon law in a mediocre way; In a partially correct way, it is also capable of identifying and expressing, in the speech and writing, the institutions of canon law, their formation and development, and issues related to universal canon law; Has limited knowledge of the fundamental and sufficient research methods of the history of canon law; He can also make limited use of sources in the history of canon law, as well as use his theoretical knowledge to describe and analyze the processes and legal phenomena taking place in the history of canon law and to formulate his own opinions in a limited way; He is also able to properly prepare his speech in the Polish language on the issues of the history of canon law, using the sources of that law and their proper interpretation.
Assessment 4 (db) - student is able to describe and describe the most important institutions of Polish universal canon law in a historical perspective, and is able to use the basic notions of canon law history in a correct and substantive manner; He can also correctly identify and illustrate the institutions of canon law, their formation and development, and the issues of universal canon law; Has satisfactory knowledge of the basic research methods that analyze the history of canon law; He can also make good use of sources in the history of canon law and use his theoretical knowledge to describe and analyze the processes and legal phenomena taking place in the history of canon law and to formulate his own opinions correctly; He is also able to correctly prepare his speech in the Polish language on the issues of the history of canon law, using the sources of this law and their proper interpretation.
Assessment 5 (bdb) - the student is able to identify and describe the most important institutions of universal canon law in a historical context and is able to use the basic notions of canon law law in a correct and substantive manner. In a complete and exhaustive manner, he is also capable of expressing and expressing the institutions of canon law in Poland, their formation and development and issues related to ecclesiastical law; Has satisfactory and full knowledge of the basic research methods that analyze the history of canon law; He can also make good use of sources in the history of canon law, and use his theoretical knowledge to describe and analyze the processes and legal phenomena taking place in the history of canon law and to formulate their own opinions in a correct and complete way. He can correctly and independently prepare his speech in the Polish language on the issues of the history of canon law, using the sources of this law and their proper interpretation.

Assessment 2 (ndst) - a student is unable to plan and organize his or her individual work aimed at fulfilling the research objective of the history of universal canon law and assimilating the content of this law; He can not actively and creatively engage in the course of his or her class, taking part in discussions, formulating his own speeches and constructive critical remarks.
Assessment 3 (dst) - the student is able to plan and organize his / her own work in a limited way to fulfill the research objective of the universal history of canon law and to assimilate the content of this law; He can also actively and creatively engage in the course of his or her class, taking part in discussions, formulating his own speeches and constructive critical remarks.
Assessment 4 (db) - the student is able to properly and reasonably plan and organize his or her individual work to accomplish the research objective of the universal history of canon law and to assimilate the content of that law; He can also actively and creatively engage in the course of his or her class, taking part in discussions, formulating his own speeches and constructive critical remarks.
Assessment 5 (bdb) - the student is able to plan and organize his / her individual work in a comprehensive and correct manner, aiming to achieve the research objective of the universal history of canon law and assimilate the content of this law; He is also able to engage in active, creative and engaging activities in the course of his or her activity, taking part in discussions, formulating his own speeches, and constructive critical remarks.
