S1: For knowledge, the student gains additional insight into the core characteristic of European literature, development of one of its most important tradition and the way in which ancient tradition wove itself into the very backbone of national literatures.
S2: for abilities, the student acquires basic tools for the study of transmission and reception of earlier literary traditions
Assessment criteria
The final exam will consist of student's presentation on subject related to the theme, possibly an inquiry into some work of national language.
