The aim of the course is to familiarize students with issues related to writing diploma theses, such as: searching for literature, using scientific literature, familiarizing with the technique of writing papers, database creation technique, data processing technique, performing basic statistical calculations (if necessary). The aim of the course is also substantive care while writing a diploma thesis (control of progress in writing particular parts of the work, assessment of technical and substantive correctness).

Knowledge:
1. The student learns the knowledge in the field of human population biology and the knowledge necessary to write a scientific text.
2. The student knows the techniques of writing scientific papers.
Skills:
1. Student searches for scientific literature.
2. Student analyzes scientific articles.
3. Student critically evaluates the usefulness of information contained in scientific papers in developing their own scientific texts.
4. Student is able to write scientific texts.
Competence:
1. Student strives to organize and update knowledge from the subject matter developed by him.
Assessment criteria
The condition for passing is presence in the classroom, timely performance of the planned tasks, with particular emphasis on giving away fragments of thesis. Failure by the student to set deadlines results in the deletion of the seminar from the list of participants.

The literature covers issues related to broadly understood human biology and is appropriate to the subject of theses.
