The course includes reminding and consolidating knowledge about the construction of the human skeleton, acquainting students with the techniques of working with the skeleton material. Student understands the importance of adaptation, adaptability, adaptation, and acquires methods for assessing sex and age based on selected skeletal characteristics. Student understands metric and nonmetric skeleton techniques, skeletal environmental stressors, selected skeletal pathology. This part of the course is aimed at acquainting students with methods of the assessment of health of the human populations. In the later part of the course, the health of ancient and modern human populations is analyzed on the basis of data analysis from databases and literature data.
In addition to theoretical and practical aspects of the course, selected topics in the field of epidemiology, demography, biodemiology, biocultural adaptation, selected diseases
