Knowledge: the student knows the basic philosophical concepts and trends. The student knows the principles of interpreting philosophical texts.
Skills: the student reads and interprets philosophical texts, listens with understanding to the oral presentation of philosophical ideas and arguments. The student can justify her stance on philosophical problems
ECTS [1 ECTS = 30(25) h.]:
participation in the lectures: 0-30 h.
preparation to pass: 30-60 h.
preparation for lectures, reading texts: 0-30 h.

Assessment criteria
The main methods will be a discussion and a seminar lecture. During the course, students will individually present the selected final thesis.
Knowledge:
- 2 (ndst): does not know what the discipline of philosophy is or how it has developed, does not know the main arguments in this field
- 3 (dost): knows what philosophy is and knows the main arguments, but is unable to rationally evaluate them.
- 4 (db): correctly shows the specificity of philosophical reasoning, knows the ways of cultivating it, is able to indicate and discuss the methods of argumentation.
- 5 (bdb): is well versed in philosophical issues and knows their representatives. Can independently interpret texts and accurately assesses rationality and their correctness
Skills:
- 2 (next ..): the student is not able to independently read and interpret philosophical texts.
- 3 (dst.): the student poorly interprets philosophical texts; she listens with understanding to the oral presentation but is not able to fully assess their cognitive value. Has difficulties in justifying her philosophical position.
- 4 (db.): the student correctly reads and interprets philosophical texts, listens with understanding to the oral presentation of philosophical ideas and arguments, can assess their cognitive value.
- 5 (very good): the student perfectly reads and interprets philosophical texts, can assess their cognitive value. The student can very well justify her position on philosophical issues
Form of getting credit: individual presentation of selected theses.
