FI2_W03 - Independently formulates and justifies their ethical views in English. Understands the specialized terminology used in the analyzed case studies.
FI2_W04 - defines and classifies key concepts of applied ethics, compares them with categories of normative ethics and metaethics, and argues using advanced philosophical terminology
FI2_U07 - translates philosophical texts and statements on ethics from Polish into English, maintaining terminological precision and stylistic correctness
FI2_U11 - Uses B2+ language skills to understand and formulate ethical positions in English. Actively participates in discussions on ethics based on case studies, leads and summarizes discussions, motivating participants to actively participate.
FI2_K06 - develops language skills in the field of specialized ethical terminology, uses available sources (literature, dictionaries, databases) in Polish and English, and improves competence in the independent use of language in the analysis of ethical issues
Assessment criteria
The final grade consists of:
1. Class participation – 20% of the final grade
2. Final essay – 80% of the final grade
Two absences are permitted.
Grading scale (test):
0–15 points (≤46%) – fail (2.0)
16–19 points (50–59%) – pass (3.0)
20–23 points (63–71%) – pass with distinction (3.5)
24–27 points (75–84%) – good (4.0)
28–29 points (88–91%) – good plus (4.5)
30–32 points (≥94%) – very good (5.0)

2.0 – unsatisfactory
26–30 points
3.0 – satisfactory
31–35 points
3.5 – satisfactory plus
36–40 points
4.0 – good
41–45 points
