Students should
* develop the ability to work independently with a foreign-language philosophical text, and
*develop competence in translating philosophical texts from English into Polish.
* acquire competence in translating a difficult philosophical text from Polish into English.
*gain the ability to deepen their language skills using available sources.
Translating excerpts from analysed philosophical texts will also provide an
*an opportunity to become familiar with the general issues considered in metaethical debates.
Assessment criteria
Assessment will be based on students' active participation in class, and an extract of an analysed text (500 words) individually translated into Polish by individual students.
