Latin language 2 WF-FI-12-LAC2
Obligatory classes of the Latin - 30 hours per semester , 60 hours per year .
Grading - tests .
Students get to know basic rules of grammar and a specific set of vocabulary. The participians should master technique allowing to conduct independent research .
They learn also the rich set of vocabulary, proverbs, phrases, texts of selected prayers and carols in Latin

student knows: the basic issues of the Latin language, concepts and terms in the area of philosophy, the history of the Latin language and its impact on development and j.europejskie j.polskiego, maxims, sayings, abbreviations, the student becomes familiar with the etymology of words
Skills:
the school year the student: correctly read and interpret dictionary with simple texts recognizes and identifies the first known Latin inflected recognizes syntactic constructions
translates simple sentences from Latin to Polish
Competencies:
student is capable of further self-expanding knowledge of Latin and appreciates a basic knowledge of the language and the possibility of its use in the study of philosophy and scientific research in the field of philosophy.

Assessment criteria
The final grade consists of:
- an assessment of the student’s preparation for each week’s classes
- passing all quick-check tests
- the student’s activity in class
Assessment methods:
Current evaluation- checking home writing assignments (2-5, pass or no)
- evaluation of the student’s preparation for class (pass or no)
- evaluation of quick-check tests – 50% - 3 - is a pass; 90% - 5
- final test at the end of the semester (2-5, 35% is a grade of dst –D)
