Geodesy and photogrammetry WB-IS-11-23
The aim of the course is to master knowledge and acquire skills and competences in urban surveying and the basics of photogrammetry.
The student will be familiarized with topics related to: dimensioning and interpretation of geodetic drawing objects, as well as design and technical documentation of sanitary installations.
During the course the student acquires skills in the field of basic geodesy works related to inventory and implementation works in highly urbanized areas. The subject develops skills and knowledge in the field of using photogrammetric and remote sensing measurement methods and techniques to solve practical tasks for selected engineering objects.

Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
IS1_W02 - the student knows at an advanced level the ways of using computer programs for the design, collection and processing of spatial data to solve geodetic and engineering problems (subject effect 1)
IS1_W03 - the student knows at an advanced level the principles of geodesy and photogrammetry for creating and reading geodetic maps and processes taking place on the Earth's surface in highly urbanized areas (subject effect 2)
Skills:
IS1_U02 - the student is able to use computer software in the field of environmental engineering in the field of geodetic design and presentation of work results in the form of maps (subject effect 3)
IS1P_U05 - the graduate can document the implementation of an engineering task in the field of urban geometry and photogrammetry (subject effect 4)
IS1P_U10-graduate is able to read geodetic and installation drawings, prepare graphic and photogrammetric documentation with the use of computer programs, interpret them and draw the right conclusions (subject effect 5)
Assessment criteria
Assessment methods and criteria:
Lectures:
Discussion lecture, credit - test to check the knowledge of the course.
Exercises:
Practical tasks: making geodetic drawings and photogrammetric measurements on photos based on theoretical knowledge and teaching aids provided by the teacher.
The student is obliged to complete the final work (the work may be finished at home, and also consulted during the consultation hours before the deadline for handing them over). Failure to meet the deadline results in a lower rating.
The condition for passing the lectures is passing the exercises in the subject.
The works are handed over by students during the next classes in the subject.
Scope of the assignment grades:
94-100% - 5
93-88% - 4.5
87-80% - 4
79-70% - 3.5
69-60% - 3
less than 59.9% - 2
The student may have 1 unexcused absence, but the presence during the classes is obligatory.
For the grade:
5 - the student has basic knowledge of the principles of graphical presentation of geodetic data; knows very well the basic methods and techniques of presenting geodetic, engineering and photogrammetric information; can very well use maps to obtain or present data on items
physical; is able to very well make a geodetic drawing of an element, in accordance with the rules set out in applicable standards and make photogrammetric measurements in the pictures,
4 - the student has basic knowledge of the principles of graphical presentation of geodetic data; knows the basic methods and techniques of presenting geodetic, engineering and photogrammetric information; can use maps well to obtain or present data on elements
physical; is able to make a good geodetic drawing of an element in accordance with the rules set out in applicable standards and make photogrammetric measurements in the pictures,
3 - the student has basic knowledge of the principles of graphical presentation of geodetic data; knows sufficiently the basic methods and techniques of presenting geodetic, engineering and photogrammetric information; can make sufficient use of maps to obtain or represent data on items
physical; is able to sufficiently make a geodetic drawing of an element in accordance with the principles set out in applicable standards and make photogrammetric measurements in the pictures,
2 - the student has no basic knowledge of the principles of graphical presentation of geodetic data; does not know sufficiently the basic methods and techniques of presenting geodetic, engineering and photogrammetric information; is unable to sufficiently use maps to extract or display element data
physical; is unable to sufficiently make a geodetic drawing of the element in accordance with the rules set out in applicable standards and make photogrammetric measurements on the photos,
