Course contents:
The importance of childhood experiences in building relationships in marriage and the family.
The influence of the family of origin on the formation of relationships in marriage.
Satisfying basic needs; correct self image in building intimate interpersonal relationships; the attitude of parents towards children during their childhood and the functioning of marriage and family in their children (toxicity problem).
Systemic family concept.
Functional diagnosis of the family in different family systems: family right, overprotective, powerless, chaotic and entangled.

Learning outcomes
KNOWLEDGE: The listener should acquire knowledge about the basics of family functioning, its history and present, know the principles of systemic family functioning, and gain knowledge about the functioning of normal, dysfunctional and dysfunctional families.
SKILLS: The listener should gain the ability to use the acquired knowledge needed to identify various types of family problems and solve them in a competent manner.
COMPETENCIES/PETITIVES: The listener should be aware of the need for constant replenishment of knowledge. He or she should be characterized by an attitude of openness to various types of problems and acquire the competence to initially diagnose them.
Assessment criteria
- For a grade of 5 (bdb.): is well versed in the issues of dysfunctions in the family, is able to analyze the causes of individual dysfunctions. He is familiar with various scientific methods for making a functional diagnosis of the family and child, and is able to critically and independently interpret them.
- For a grade of 4 (db.): correctly oriented to the issues of dysfunctions in the family, is able to identify the causes of individual dysfunctions, is able to critically discuss scientific approaches to counteract dysfunctions. He knows the various scientific methods for making a functional diagnosis of the family and child.
- For a grade of 3 (dst): is able to identify dysfunctions in the family and indicate their causes, is able to discuss scientific approaches for counteracting dysfunctions. Knows the basic scientific methods for making a functional diagnosis of the family and child.
Practical placement
Participate in the practice of psychological counseling on family issues.
